Surviving in Europe without a money
Nice City Limoges in FranceNice City Limoges in France
After waiting the situation somehow solved within a week, I started to move more south. Next city was Limoges and as mentioned one girl who picked me up, people in Limoges are very friendly. But you wont earn much money there in the streets as friendly people are usually poor.
Thats why its very difficult to raise money in the streets of Limoges.
So I find out, that homeless persons should call 115 in France to get shelter but as the weather stayed nice, I preferred to sleep outside in parks. The place where you can stay is called ALBRI in France, like in Spain there is ALBERGE.
Spanish and French languages are similar when you read but they pronounce everything so different.
After crossing the Neuf bridge and turning right, there is very long park which will end to the city end from nearly center.
From the center of the town, where is Medioteca (biblioteca with Internet) and University, when you turn to Avenue de Midi, there is a place called Restaurante Social where everyone can eat for 1.20 EUR between 11.30-1 PM and 17.30-18.30. If you don't have even so much, you can turn to Social Services and they will give you a letter to have those meals free of charge.
Each meal contains soup, second plate, cheese, yogurt or fruits, bread and coffee.
Sandwiches costs 80 cents and the breakfast between 8.30 and 9.30 was free. For the breakfast you will get a very big cup of coffee or cacao and bread only.
Anyway as Social Services gave me ten times to eat, I was staying in Limoges around a week until it started to rain and went really cold. It was end of October and winter seems to start in France.
Even Paris was full of homeless people, for me it was too cold to sleep outside so I decided to move forward to Spain.
The Internet was still a problem in Limoges as there where two places for free WiFi: Medioteca and Tourist Information Center.
As both of them had Internet down during my week in Limoges, I just picked up some Apple Network WiFi signal and used it outside in parking place.
University WiFi nearby needs password and so was railway station.
Anyway, trying to recharge my Dell batteries where possible, I broke the power connector and when trying to open my Dell Lattidude D520 to fix it, I broke some cable inside and wasn't able to get it open even. So besides being homeless, IŽm now computerless also.
